Stroud Community Agriculture is a 56-acre biodynamic CSA, farming on two sites in Gloucestershire. We have been established now for 14 years and provide a weekly vegetable share and meat for our 270 members.
We are looking for an assistant grower and a seasonal worker to join the existing head grower and farm manager.
The assistant grower post is full-time permanent post to work alongside the head grower and farm manager. Applicants should have at least one to two years previous growing experience and be looking to develop their horticultural skills further and take on more responsibilities.
The seasonal worker post is a full-time post to run from March/April through to Oct. Applicants will preferably have some previous experience but a keen interest in sustainable food production and the ability to work hard is more important.
For both posts the work will mostly be on the seven acre horticulture unit but will also include work with the livestock on the farm. The work will include all aspects of managing the market garden and polytunnels, including ground preparation, crop management, harvest and packing
Both applicants will need to be physically fit, capable of working to commercial speeds, and enthusiastic about local food and community engagement. We offer the opportunity to work on one of the most established community farms with a friendly experienced farm team.
