Irish Landworkers Association will launch on April 9th

It will represent the interests and defend the livelihoods of people producing food, fuel & fibre using sustainable & agroecological methods – the Irish Landworkers’ Alliance (ILA)

We know that on our farms and in our fields and forests there are people working hard to develop truly sustainable land use systems and local markets. At the same time we see successive governments promoting an unsustainable farming model and the dominance of big business in every aspect of farming in Ireland. There is a better way - agriculture is too important to be left to the interests of agri-businesses.

Farming is not about making profit at any cost – it is about supporting the communities and sustaining the ecosystems of where it takes place. More info about the ILA's vision and goals are on the LWA website
