An email is being sent out to all members and subscribers with a draft vision/strategy for the OGA. The upcoming AGM will see a number of key committee positions fall vacant. These are critical times and the committee wants the membership to engage with a discussion about where we go from here. What are we doing right? What is going wrong? What do we need to do that we are not doing now? Do we carry on as we are or do we change. Please give these questions some thought and post some replies.

I’d particularly urge all new entrants to get involved in this: don’t think that because you’ve only been involved in growing for a short time, your opinions don’t matter – they do! This is also the chance to become more involved in the committee and get things done the way you’d like to do them, make the alliances you think we need, and get in touch with people you wouldn’t be able to on your own: so reply to the survey, come to the AGM if you can, and nominate yourself or others for committee positions.

Hi, Has the survey gone out yet? I dont think I’ve received it. I’m not sure if I can attend the AGM but I’d liek to be more involved. What’s the best way to do this? (Not urgent)

Hi. The survey questions can be found at the bottom of the vision document that went out recently or via the link to survey monkey https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/MTNTKNT. In terms of being involved we are looking for new blood for the committee with an emphasis on taking on one of the ‘officer’ positions (chair, treasurer, secretary) and also someone to take on the role of overseeing the website and liaising with our IT contractor. We will be electing new committee members at the AGM but it is also possible to be co-opted at a later date.  Roger
